Removing gel nail polish can sometimes be a tricky job, but if you have the right materials, it's a piece of cake! You need a few things: nail polish remover, please note: use one WITH acetone, otherwise your gel nail polish will not come off the nail. It is best to use pure acetone. You also need cotton pads or cotton balls, or special gel nail polish remover wipes. A nail file is also handy to use, so you can easily remove any residue from your nails.
Nail polish remover
A nail polish remover with acetone is more harmful to your nail than nail polish remover without acetone. We therefore recommend removing regular nail polish with remover without acetone. If you wear gel nail polish, it is important to use acetone, otherwise the polish really will not come off the nail. First of all, it is wise to file your nails, so that the top layer of the gel nail polish is removed. The gel top coat serves as a protective layer over your gel nail polish and must therefore be removed first. The gel base coat is also difficult to remove, but with acetone it is certainly possible! Use a coarse nail file, but obviously do this carefully. Then apply a nourishing oil or cream to the cuticles, so they do not dry out from the acetone.
