How do you tweeze your eyebrows?

Hoe moet je wenkbrauwen epileren?

For many people, plucking eyebrows is not such a difficult task, but it is important to do it properly. There are a few things you need to take into account. We have also written down a few tips for you that make plucking less painful and a lot faster, so keep reading!

The tweezers
First of all, it is important to use sharp tweezers, as this makes it easier to grab the hairs. Moreover, this will make you less likely to accidentally pull out too many hairs. There are a lot of different tweezers available, tweezers with a pointed shape and tweezers with a slanted shape. It is best to use tweezers with a slanted tip, as you can grab the hairs well with them.

When should you pluck your eyebrows?
When to pluck your eyebrows is something you have to decide for yourself, do it when you see that some unwanted hairs are growing back. However, it is nice to do it after showering, as plucking will hurt a lot less. Do not pluck too often, as there is a chance you will remove too many hairs. Only remove the hairs that are outside the shape of your eyebrows.

Determining the shape
First, comb your eyebrow hairs upwards with an eyebrow comb. This reduces the chance of removing the wrong hairs. Then it is time to start plucking your eyebrows. You can easily determine the shape with the help of a pencil, an eyebrow pencil for example. We start with the beginning of your eyebrow. Place the pencil vertically along the inside of your eye and the outside of your nostril. At the height where the pencil is placed, your eyebrow begins, make a mark there. You determine the 'arch', or the highest point of your eyebrow, by placing the pencil along the inside of your nose and along the outside of your pupil. Make a light dot there too. Finally, we determine where your eyebrow can end best. Place the pencil from your nostril to your outer eye corner, where the pencil ends draw another mark.

Pluckinging
Then it is finally time to start plucking your eyebrows. Remove all the hairs that are outside your drawn dots. But do not remove too much if you like beautiful, full eyebrows. It is better to remove too little than too much! It is also better not to remove hairs above the eyebrows, only below the eyebrow. Make sure you grab the hairs well with the tweezers and pull them out in one go. You can also pull the skin around the hair tight with 2 fingers, this makes it hurt less. Above all, take your time and do not pluck clumps of hair at the same time, do it hair by hair. Afterwards, you can apply some eyebrow makeup to fill in your eyebrows!
