Regularly exfoliating your lips will make them super soft! The skin renews itself every day, including the skin on your lips. Old skin cells are constantly being replaced by new ones, and exfoliating helps remove the old, dead skin cells, speeding up this process. Moreover, your lipstick will look much better if your lips don't have loose skin. Loose skin is often the result of dry lips, so it is also important to apply lip balm regularly, even after exfoliating!
Types of lip scrub
There are a huge number of different types of lip scrub available; lip scrub in a jar, in stick form, or liquid lip scrubs. In our range, you will mainly find lip scrubs in stick form, which is somewhat similar to a lip balm. This lip scrub variant is very convenient to take on a trip or keep in your handbag, and it is also very easy to apply.
Using lip scrub
Using a lip scrub is very easy and only takes a minute. However, be careful when exfoliating your lips, as exfoliating too hard or too often can damage the underlying skin. This can cause small wounds or skin irritation. The skin on your lips is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of your face, and it also does not contain sweat glands. Because your lips lack sweat glands, they do not have a natural layer of sweat and oils. In short: your lips are sensitive, so be gentle with them. Wet your lips slightly before applying the scrub, then apply the scrub to your lips. If the scrub is in stick form, you can apply it directly from the stick to your lips. Move your lips over each other or use your fingers to exfoliate. Do not exfoliate for too long, too short, or too hard! Wipe off the scrub with a towel or washcloth and apply a lip balm after exfoliating.
