Maybelline mascara


Maybelline New York staat toch wel een beetje bekend om haar goede en populaire mascara’s. Het eerste product van het merk was dan ook een mascara. Dit product heeft de oprichter van Maybelline verkocht als eerbetoon aan zijn zus. Toen der tijd was de formule heel anders, maar gelukkig zijn de mascara’s door de jaren heen verbeterd. Zo hebben sommige mascara’s zelfs formules met verzorgende ingrediënten, zodat de wimpers minder snel afbreken en sneller groeien. Ook heeft Maybelline verschillende mascara primers ontwikkeld, deze dienen als basislaagje voor onder je mascara.


Maybelline make-up producten


Het ruime assortiment van Maybelline omvat veel verschillende producten; foundation, concealer, poeder, blush, highlighter en nog veel meer! Je kunt deze producten met elkaar combineren om de meest unieke en mooie looks te maken. Begin bijvoorbeeld met een laagje foundation om de huid te egaliseren, concealer zal je helpen bij het bedekken van donkere kringen en andere imperfecties. Met een poeder fixeer je het gezicht en met blush, bronzer en highlighter kun je meer kleur en diepte teruggeven aan je gezicht. Gebruik eventueel wat oogschaduw, oogpotlood, eyeliner of mascara om de ogen mee op te maken en je bent klaar! Het merk werkt ook samen met celebrities, waaronder Gigi Hadid. Geschiedenis van Maybelline


Maybelline is opgericht door Thomas Lyle Williams in 1915. Zijn zus Maybel droeg een mix van vaseline en steenkool op haar wimpers, zo werden de wimpers donkerder. Thomas Lyle Williams had het mengsel nog wat aangepast met een eenvoudige scheikundedoos en verkocht het als eerbetoon aan zijn zus. Het product heette eerst naam ‘’Lash-Brow-Ine’’, maar de naam werd later aangepast naar ‘’Maybelline’’. De eerste ‘’echte’’ mascara zoals wij die nu kennen is ontwikkeld in 1917.
