Maybelline is een van de bekendste merken in de cosmetica branche. Het merk werd in 1915 opgericht door Tom Lyle Williams, die de naam van het bedrijf ontleende aan zijn zus Maybel.

Deze Maybel Williams bracht een mix van steenkool en vaseline aan op haar wimpers om ze een donkerder en voller effect te geven. Tom Lyle Williams wist het mengsel aan te passen met een eenvoudige scheikundedoos, en verkocht het als "Lash-Brow-Ine". Als eerbetoon aan zijn zus werd het product later hernoemd naar Maybelline. In 1917 werd de eerste mascara geproduceerd zoals wij deze nu kennen. Maybelline is uitgegroeid van een klein familiebedrijf in 1915 tot ‘s werelds nummer 1 in cosmetica. Maybelline behoort thans tot de L'Oréal Groep.

Maybelline New York zorgt er voor dat elke vrouw de mogelijkheid heeft of kan hebben over alle soorten make-up en geeft vrouwen daarbij ook de mogelijkheid om nieuwe looks uit te proberen en hun eigen creativiteit en persoonlijkheid te tonen.

Maybelline beschikt over een zeer uitgebreid assortiment lippenstiften, mascara’s, blushes, oogschaduws en nog veel meer! Alle Maybelline make-up is van een hoogwaardige kwaliteit, maar is toch goed betaalbaar.

Ondanks dat Maybelline steeds opnieuw innovatieve en nieuwe producten op de markt brengt, blijven ze gelukkig ook trouw aan de al jarenlang bekende en vertrouwde producten zoals bijvoorbeeld de wereldwijd meeste verkochte Great Lash Mascara. Ook de Maybelline Color Sensational Lippenstiften, de Maybelline Total Temptation en Maybelline Superstay producten zijn niet meer weg te denken uit het Maybelline assortiment. Zo blijven de bestaande klanten tevreden maar trekt Maybelline ook nieuwe klanten aan door steeds weer nieuwe producten op de markt te brengen.

Maybelline make-up wordt dagelijks gebruikt door miljoenen vrouwen over de hele wereld. In de reclamecampagnes van Maybelline wordt veelvuldig gebruikt gemaakt van bekende vrouwen zoals Adriana Lima, Christ Turlington en Gigi Hadid maar ook van bekende merken zoals recentelijk Puma. De Maybelline Gigi Hadid collectie is een van de meest populaire collecties en omvat allerlei mooi make-up producten!

Wie kent niet de slogan van Maybelline die sinds 1991 wordt gevoerd: "(Maybe she's born with it) Maybe it's Maybelline."
